KG's Handy Quarter-Sized Zines Imposition Guide →
hoaxzine:
kagey:
I made this imposition guide for myself ages ago when I started making zines so I wouldn’t have to make mock-ups all the time. This links to a 3-page PDF file outlining the scrambly pagination order of 24-page, 32-page, and 40-page quarter-sized zines.
Super helpful for anybody who wants to start making quarter size zines. Thanks KG!
Why Zines?
Hey Zinesters! Send pictures of your zine collection to sassyfrasscircus@gmail.com for inclusion in our pop-up zine library slideshow. Feel free to include responses to the question “why zines?” :D

We are seeking submissions with a central theme of the cross sections of Jewish and queer and or feminist identity, and how those identities might inform an anti-Zionist or Palestinian-solidarity politic. Some organizing frames include the concept of “doykeit” or “hereness,” diaspora, assimilation, the rhetoric of “self-hate,” decolonization of Judaism, and experiences of queer identity as a...

“Do you have suggestions for people in small towns and cities where there is no STAR?
Start a STAR of their own. I think if transvestites don’t stand up for themselves, nobody else is going to stand up for transvestites.

I got two letters in one day yesterday, from the same person. I tore through them at the kitchen table, then read them again in bed, then re-read them this afternoon before writing a response to them. I added to the response to an envelope already thick with unsent letters—I have a thing about…

Why, for example, were American anthropologists, many of them Jewish, unable to constitute Jews as an anthropological subject until after the Holocaust? In a word, the answer resides with the Jewish body. American anthropology during the late nineteenth and first half of the twentieth century was…
